Human/Economic Appalachian Development Corporation (HEAD Corp.)

HEAD Corporation is a Community Development Financial Institution, designed to promote, encourage, organize, and mobilize self-help community development, to make available realistic local business and job opportunities, and to carry out all other activities related to the general betterment of the human and economic condition.

For the past 30 years, HEAD has put human beings first in its community and economic development programs. HEAD has over one million dollars in capital, and provides small business loan funding for the financial and technical assistance to startup or expand small businesses.

HEAD Corp. provides debt financing, business planning and deal structuring assistance to small and mid-sized companies in the target market, using two financial instruments.
1. Lending through its own loan fund.
2. Lending using the resources of the Appalachian Federal Credit Union.
