Paula Bowman, Ex-Officio Secretary. Ms. Bowman is the executive director of HEAD Corporation. She has served region as an economic development specialist for more than 25 years. Prior experience includes the director of business strategy and president of a non-profit multi-million dollar lending corporation.

Rev. Lee Hubbard. Reverend Hubbard is the chair of the Red Bird Job Development Committee, Chair of the Heart of Appalachia (a fundraising arm of Red Bird, and serves on the Board of the Aldersgate Camp (an institution of the Kentucky Annual Conference of the V.M.C.).

Martie Kazura, Vice Chair. Ms. Kazura is professor of Business at Berea College. For the past thirteen years, she has served on the boards or loan committees of several economic development organizations that provide loans or investment capital to businesses in the Appalachian region.

Brenda McDaniel. Ms. McDaniel is the CFO/VP of Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation. She has more than 25 years of experience in lending and investments at Kentucky Highlands, a Certified Community Development Financial Institution and one of three rural recipients of Empowerment Zone designation.

Rev. Dr. Bennett D. Poage, Chair. Dr. Poage is the executive director of the Appalachian Ministries Education Resource Center. He was a founding board member of HEAD Corporation. And has provided leadership to programs created by HEAD Corporation such as the Appalachian Federal Credit Union and the Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprises

Renee Scott, JD. Ms. Scott is the Program Manager for the Division of Exceptional Children Services, Kentucky Department of Education. She serves as State Education Agency’s Comprehensive System of Personnel Development coordinator and staff liaison for special education cooperatives.

Thomas Seel, Mr Seel is the CFO & Treasurer for Federation of Appalachian Housing Enterprises, Inc; Consultant to small businesses and not-for-profit organization for SeelGroup. Sits on the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors for the $11 billion Southern Baptist pension & benefits fund.

Danny Isaacs, Project Specialist. Mr. Isaacs is the Project Specialist for the Mountain Association for Community Economic DEevelopment's Berea office. He provides loans and technical assistance to small businessess throughout 22 counties of Appalachian Kentucky.

Caryn Vazzana, PhD, Ms. Vazzana is an associate professor of Economics at Berea College. She provides a global perspective of current economic issues facing our region.
